Join Southwest Minnesota Arts Council at retirement celebration for Greta Murray

Great from 1985You are invited to join Southwest Minnesota Arts Council (SMAC) and its board of directors as we celebrate Executive Director Greta Murray at her retirement party. Visit with Greta and wish her well on Tuesday, June 27 at Bello Cucina in Marshall from 5-7 pm.

Current photo of GretaGreta has been with SMAC for a total of 33 years, first as an Administrative Assistant and then as the Executive Director for the last 19 years. SMAC (formerly Southwest Minnesota Arts & Humanities Council) had been around for 10 years when Greta started in 1984, meaning that Greta has been with SMAC for over 3/4ths of its existence! Greta has been an important advocate and constant pillar of support for area artists and arts organizations through its grants system and technical services. SMAC would not be the resource it is today for artists, arts organizations, and communities within our 18-county region if Greta had not been a part of it. Please join us in thanking Greta Murray for all her years of dedication and enthusiasm!Bello Cucina logo

  1. Greta – Congratulations on your “retirement” and all that you have accomplished! I am out-of-town the week of your party so won’t make it but will be there in spirit. The time I spent on the SMAHC (now SMAC) Board was truly inspiring! You, and SMAC, have made a huge impact and will continue to do so well into the future. What a wonderful legacy you left to this region! Hope to connect for lunch sometime this summer and catch up. Enjoy & relax … you’ve earned it!!! Ramona Welsand Larson
